Duration of Services 06/2016 - 04/2023
Brief Description of the Project:

Scope of the Project is to investigate technical and economic feasibility of irrigation and storage facilities, to produce most economical solution and to prepare planning reports and addendum thereof relevant to these studies, considering various alternatives for the purpose of evaluation of existing water potentials of irrigable lands and creeks, and for the purpose of irrigation of agricultural lands and providing drinking water for animals at Aydın Province Nazilli and Çine Districts, Denizli Province Kale and Çameli Districts, Muğla Province Seydikemer District.

Facilities under the scope of the project are as follows.

Aydın Çine Tatarmemişler Animal Drinking Water Small Dam: Geomembrane Covered Rock Fill type, with a height of 26.50 m from the foundation and drinking water for 5088 Small Cattle and 3560 Bovine Animals.

Aydın Kuyucak Kayran Small Dam and Irrigation: Roller Compacted Concrete Dam Body type small dam with a height of 41.00 m from the foundation to irrigate 84 hectares of gross agricultural land.

Muğla Seydikemer Girdev Small Dam and Irrigation: With the reservoir and the Geomembrane Covered Rock Fill type small dam, with a height of 18.00 m – 9.50 m from the foundation (double body), to irrigate 114 hectares of gross agricultural land.

Denizli Kale Koçarboğazi Small Dam and Irrigation: Clay Core Rock Fill type small dam with a height of 21.00 m from the foundation to irrigate 147 hectares of gross agricultural land.

Denizli Kale Yeniköy Small Dam and Irrigation: With the Clay Core Rock Fill type small dam, which is 33.00 m high from the foundation, to irrigate 363 hectares of gross agricultural land.

Denizli Kale Ortaköy Small Dam and Irrigation: With the Geomembrane Covered Sand Gravel Fill type small dam with a height of 42.00 m from the foundation, to irrigate 138 hectares of gross agricultural land.

Denizli Çameli Cevizli Small Dam and Irrigation: The reservoir is of Geomembrane Covered Clay Core Rock Fill type, with a height of 29.50 m from the foundation to irrigate 101 hectares of gross agricultural land.

Denizli Çameli Kolak Small Dam and Irrigation: The reservoir is of Geomembrane Covered Clay Core Rock Fill type, with a height of 31.50 m from the foundation and irrigates 98 hectares of gross agricultural land. In addition, drinking water was provided for 4360 Small Cattle and 3435 Bovine Animals.

A separate planning report has been prepared for the small dams for which the Preliminary Survey Reports are available. Planning studies were carried out in two phases.

1. Preliminary Survey Reports

Studies including the determination of the type and capacity of the facilities within the scope of the contract and the determination of the project formulation were carried out at this stage and submitted to DSI as the "Preliminary Survey Report". After the project formulation given at this stage was approved by DSI, detailed planning services were started. During the Preliminary Survey Report phase, 1/500 scaled maps were prepared for the axis points of the small damns and 1/1000 scale for the lake areas. At this stage, engineering hydrology studies were carried out, soil surveys, agricultural economics and expropriation studies and geotechnical studies were carried out in accordance with the "Engineering Hydrology Planning Interim Report", "Agricultural Economy and Expropriation Planning Interim Report", "Engineering Geology and Natural Construction Materials Planning Interim Report" and " Land Classification and Drainage Planning Interim Report” has been prepared.

2. Planning Reports

The “Preliminary Investigation Reports” were examined by DSI, the proposed project formulations were found suitable, and the next studies for planning were started by considering the project formulation selected by DSI. “Engineering Hydrology Planning Report”, “Planning Land Classification and Drainage Report”, “Agricultural Economy and Expropriation Planning Report” and “Water Use Rights Report” were prepared as annexes to the Planning Reports. The "Engineering Geology and Natural Construction Materials Planning Report" was prepared by carrying out natural construction material researches and laboratory experiments, engineering geology and basic drilling studies related to the facilities.

EIA studies were carried out and the Project Introduction File was prepared and “EIA Not Required” Documents were obtained. Planning studies for all small dams were transferred to the Geographic Information System (GIS) and submitted to Client .
