Brief Description of the Project :

Ankara Rail Mass Transit Project, Ankara Subway Stage 1 comprises tracks 14.6 km in total length and 12 stations. The services for this section of Ankara Subway include preparation of general layout plans and detail drawings for tracks with ties + ballast, concrete slabs, retaining walls, conduits (cut and cover), tunnels and track route drainage.

1. Tracks with ties + ballast (with or without retaining wall)

• Total track length: 1.307 m
• Total length of retaining walls along length of track: 790 m
• Total length of tracks without retaining wall: 517 m

2. Tracks directly fixed on concrete slab (with or without retaining wall)

• Total track length: 1.296 m
• Total length of retaining walls along total track length: 990 m
• Total length of the section without retaining wall along total track length: 306 m

3. Tracks directly fixed on concrete slabs in conduit (cut and cover)

• Total track length: 2.605 m
• Sections of the route through conduits consist of, depending on plan layouts of inner and outer tracks, twin-bore conduit where both tracks lie in the same conduit and single-bore conduit where either track lies in different conduit. 5 nos. ventilation structures, embedded or semi-embedded, are provided on conduits.

4. Directly fixed-on tracks in the tunnel bored using TBM and lined with pre-cast members: Tunnel intakes were designed to function also as ventilation structures.
5. Tracks directly fixed-on in the tunnel conventionally bored and lined:
   Total tunnel length: 2 x 150 m
6. Track route drainage
