Uzbekistan - Reconstruction and Expansion of the Sewerage Systems of Gulistan, Shirin and Yangiyer cities of Syrdarya Region

Brief Description of the Project :

The project will have two main components:

Component A: Reconstruction of Wastewater Treatment Plants - This includes the reconstruction of three Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs) in the cities of Gulistan, Shirin, and Yangiyer.

• Sub-Component A1 - Gulistan: This sub-component includes the reconstruction of a new WWTP with a capacity of 25,000 m³/day based on biologically activated bio pond system.

• Sub-Component A2 – Shirin: This sub-component includes the reconstruction of a new WWTP with a capacity of 4,000 m³/day also based on biologically activated bio pond system.

• Sub-Component A3 - Yangiyer: This sub-component includes the reconstruction of a new WWTP with a capacity of 12,000 m³/day based on biologically activated bio pond system.

Component B: Reconstruction of Sewerage Disposal Infrastructure - This component includes the reconstruction and expansion of sewerage networks in the three beneficiary cities.

• Sub-Component B1 - Gulistan: This sub-component includes the following:

  • Rehabilitation and supply and installation of sewers (66,75 km);

  • Construction of pumping stations (3 Pcs);

• Sub-Component B2 – Shirin: This sub-component includes the following:

  • Rehabilitation and supply and installation of sewers (19,2 km);

  • Construction of pumping stations (1 Pcs);

• Sub-Component B3 - Yangiyer: This sub-component includes the following:

  • Rehabilitation and supply and installation of sewers (21.9 km);

  • Construction of pumping stations (1 Pcs);

• Sub-Component B4 -: This sub-component includes the following:

• • Rehabilitation of pumping stations in Gulistan 6 Pcs, in Yangiyer 6 Pcs and in Shirin 1 Pcs.

Scope of Services :

PHASE-1: Detailed Design and Tendering

• Preparation of project Detailed Design
• Preparation of Bidding Documents and Assistance in Procurements.

PHASE-2: Supervision of Construction Works

• Construction Supervision,
• Management of Defect Liability Period.
