Technical Assistance and Construction Supervision for Adıyaman Wastewater Project

Brief Description of the Project :

Adıyaman is a provincial centre located in central Fırat River basin in the South-East Anatolia Region and is one of nine provinces in the scope of the largest regional development project in Turkey, the South-East Anatolia Project (GAP). The services under the project include, technical assistance and capacity building programmes for PIU and Water Utility Department, support to supply component, design review of WWTP, collector, rising mains, siphon and pumping stations and also construction supervision of WWTP.

Pumping Station Structures:

Formed of rock trap, coarse grid and pumping station structures and supplies water to treatment plant.
Rock trap: Vented type. Entry and exit have sliding covers for insulation purposes.
Coarse Grid: 80 mm spaced manual, 50 mm spaced mechanical coarse grid, with 1800 m³/h capacity
Pump Type: Immersion centrifuge
Number of Pumps: 4= 3 main+1 spare
Pump flow: 600 m³/h
Total flow: 1800 m³/h

Scope of Services :

• Technical assistance and capacity building programmes for PIU and Water Utility Department,
• Technical assistance and capacity building in administrative and financial issues,
• Technical assistance and capacity building within technical operation and maintenance,
• Geographical Information System (GIS) studies and mapping studies,
• Establishing the hydraulic modelling of the existing water network system,
• Leak detection and none revenue water programme,
• Assistance in preparation of water resource protection plan,
• Preparation of sludge management plan,
• Support to supply component and assistance during tendering and awarding contract,
• Design review of WWTP and other infrastructural designs,
• Preparation of Construction tender documentation,
• Construction supervision of WWTP.
