Closing Meeting of "Eastern Mediterranean Basin Flood Management Plan Project" under the chairmanship of General Manager of Water Management Mr. Bilal Dikmen, with the participation of Mersin Governor Mr. Ali İhsan Su, 6th Regional Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, General Directorate of Combating Desertification and Erosion, Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, 7th Regional Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks, TARSİM (Agricultural Insurance Pool) Adana Regional Directorate, Provincial Directorate of Environmental Urbanization, Mersin Metropolitan Municipality, Çukurova Development Agency, academicians from Alanya Alaattin Keykubat University and SU-YAPI company officials and press organizations was held on 19 November 2019 in Mersin, Turkey.

9th International Symposium on Atmospheric Sciences, ATMOS-2019 was held in Istanbul, Turkey between October 23-26, 2019 under the organization of Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ), Department of Meteorology. The symposium organization committee selected the main theme for this year’s symposium as “Interactions Between Climate Change and Sectors”. The symposium talks addressed and discussed the interactions between climate change and agriculture, economy, energy, environment, forestry, health, society, tourism, transportation and water resources, etc.

The contract for the consultancy services to be provided under the “Qairokkum Hydroelectric Power Plant Rehabilitation”, co-financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank, was signed between TEMELSU / SU-YAPI Joint Venture and Tajikistan Open Stock Holding Company "Barki Tojik" on 02.10.2019 in Dushanbe.

“10th National Hydrology Congress” hosted by Sıtkı Koçman University, Geographical Information Systems, Remote Sensing, Application and Research Center (GIS & RSAR) was held between 09-12 October 2019 in Muğla. At the congress, 6 papers given below were presented on behalf of SU-YAPI.

SU-YAPI uses intelligent 3D model-based design and Autodesk BIM solutions to improve interdisciplinary coordination and communications. The İstanbul Terkos Water Treatment Facility is the first water treatment plant of Turkey and ISKI that is designed with using BIM technologies.

"Firm-International Student Co-operation Project" that will bring international studying in Turkish universities and business persons together has been launched. International students in universities met with Turkish firms doing business in their country in order to practice in that firm as an intern while they are still a student and having the will to be employed in the relevant firm both in Turkey and in their county after graduation; and in this framework they have participated in the negotiations on 03.07.2019, in Ankara Chamber of Commerce Congresium Hall.

Contract for “Uzbekistan – Reconstruction and Expansion of Sewage Systems in the Cities of Gulistan, Shirin and Yangier of the Syrdarya Region” financed by Islamic Development Bank was signed between SU-YAPI Engineering & Consulting Inc. and State Unitary Enterprise «Suvokova» of Syrdarya Region in Tashkent, on 20.05.2019.

SU-YAPI was represented at the sixth session of the Global Platform on Disaster Risk Reduction (GP2019) took place at the International Conference Center Geneva (CICG), and was organized by the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), the Government of Switzerland and its partners.

The contract of “Construction Supervision Services for Bisri Dam” under the scope of “Water Supply Augmentation Project (WSAP)” jointly financed by World Bank and Islamic Development Bank is signed between TEMELSU / SU-YAPI Joint Venture and Lebanon Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) is signed on 14.05.2019, in Beirut.

The Civil Engineering Summit (CESUMMIT’19), organized by IACES METU Local Committee, was held on 23-24 February 2019 at Middle East Technical University (METU). At the summit, SU-YAPI gave a visual presentation in METU U3 Amphitheater and give information to participants about the company profile and projects performed with BIM.
