“Lebanon-Bisri Dam Construction Supervision" contract was signed. 14 May 2019

The contract of “Construction Supervision Services for Bisri Dam” under the scope of “Water Supply Augmentation Project (WSAP)” jointly financed by World Bank and Islamic Development Bank is signed between TEMELSU / SU-YAPI Joint Venture and Lebanon Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) is signed on 14.05.2019, in Beirut.

In scope of the project; to meet the drinking water needs of Beirut in the medium term, the construction of Bisri Dam and related infrastructures is foreseen. Bisri Dam to be built on Bisri River in the city of Saida, 35 km south of Beirut, is designed as a Zoned Embankment with Clay Core type and height from foundation is 74 m.

Construction supervision services will be provided within the scope of the work planned for a total of 7 years including 5 years construction and 2 years operation and maintenance period.
