Component 2: Design and Construction Supervision for the Rehabilitation and Modernization of On-Farm and Off-Farm Infrastructure (DCSRMOOI)

Brief Description of the Project :

For rehabilitation studies, 4 Regions (Zone) were created according to the relevant project areas:

Zone 1 : (NORTH REGION)               Gouba, Khachmaz rayons,

Zone 2 : (MILMUGAN REGION)          Sabirabad, Saatli, İmishli rayons,

Zone 3 : (GARABAGH REGION)        Beylegan, Aghjabadi, Goranboy rayons 
              (SHIRVAN REGION)             Zardab rayon, and

Zone 4 : (NAKCHIVAN REGION)        Babak and Sharur rayons.

Within the scope of this project ” Irrigation and Drainage Rehabilitation “ on-farm and off-farm irrigation and drainage infrastructure will be renovated, covering an area of 56 000 ha and 45 WUAs. The rehabilitation works are related to the following issues.

• Cleaning (de-silting) of irrigation and drainage canals,

• Repairing concrete lining and joints, if needed replacement of the pipes of the pressurized irrigation scheme,

• Rehabilitation of hydraulic structures,

• Rehabilitation of pumping Stations and their electro-mechanic equipment,

• Rehabilitation of tube wells.

• Design of nearly 1000 water measuring structures (hydro posts) is required on the off-farm systems, which are limited with the defined project area.

Scope of Services:

• Providing field information;
• Evaluation of rehabilitation cost estimate and economic and financial analysis;
• Evaluation of environmental protection;
• Arrangements for construction;
• Topographic surveys;
• Preparation of detail design;
• Preparation of tender documentation;
• Construction Supervision.
