Gümüşhane Province Lagoon and Irrigation Planning and Design Services – Part 2 (ru)

Brief Description of the Project:

Project areas comprise partly the lands of Kelkit and Şiran Sub-provinces of Gümüşhane Province in the Black Sea Region of Turkey.

Project structures are namely;

Gümüşhane Kelkit Günbatur Lagoon and Irrigation: The lagoon of homogeneous earthfill type and 34 m high from foundation will supply irrigation water to 200 ha arable land.

Gümüşhane Kelkit Balıklı Lagoon and Irrigation: The lagoon of homogeneous earthfill type and 34 m high from foundation will supply irrigation water to 400 ha arable land.

Gümüşhane Şiran Karatepe Lagoon and Irrigation: The lagoon of homogeneous earthfill type and 34 m high from foundation will supply irrigation water to 390 ha arable land.

Gümüşhane Şiran Yayla Lagoon and Irrigation: The lagoon of homogeneous earthfill type and 34 m high from foundation will supply irrigation water to 200 ha arable land.

Gümüşhane Şiran Yeşildağ Lagoon and Irrigation: The lagoon of homogeneous earthfill type and 32 m high from foundation will supply irrigation water to 300 ha arable land.

Planning reports and drawings will be prepared individually for lagoons for which Preliminary Study reports are available. Planning studies will be carried out at two stages.

1. Preliminary Study Reports

Studies for determining types and capacities of contractual structures and for defining the project formulation will be performed at this stage and results of studies will be compiled in “Preliminary Study Report” which will be submitted to DSI. Detailed planning studies will be proceeded with upon approval of the proposed project formulation by DSI. At Preliminary Study Report stage, Engineering Hydrology Reports for lagoons, Agricultural Economy Interim Reports and Pre-Study Land Classification Reports will have been approved.

1/1000 scale digital maps for lagoon axial sites and reservoir area and 1/2000-scale digital maps for irrigation areas will be prepared.
 
2. Planning Report

At the next stage, planning studies on the basis of project formulation selected by DSI upon review of “Preliminary Study Reports” and proposed project formulations will be proceeded with. The “Planning Land Classification and Drainage Report” and “Agricultural Economy and Land Acquisition Planning report”, as appendices to Planning Reports, will be prepared. Natural construction material investigations, laboratory tests, engineering geology studies and ground investigations, including borehole drilling, will be performed and results of studies and investigations will be compiled in the “Engineering Geology and Natural Construction Materials Planning Report”. 

The EIA studies will be performed, “Project Introductory File” will be prepared, and “EIA Is Not Required” certificates will be obtained.

Lagoon Design Services

Final design for the lagoons, of which Planning Reports are approved by the Client, will be prepared in accordance with “Technical Specification for Dam Design”. Lagoon Design will include the following studies.

a) Preliminary Report
Preliminary report will be prepared on the basis of comments of the Client in case of necessity for revision of basic formulation proposed in Planning Report.

b) Interim Report
Interim Report will be prepared to include the preliminary calculations and project formulation.

c) Design
Design studies, as per the Technical Specification for Dam Design”, will be proceeded with after approval of interim report by the Client. Design studies will include all hydraulic / stability analyses, stress and displacement analyses, seepage analyses and dynamic analyses will be performed at this stage.

After approval of the Preliminary Report, Irrigation and Drainage Detail Drawings for all irrigation and drainage networks along routes technically and economically agreed by the Client will be prepared.

Irrigation and Drainage design will be based on setting out the levels and lines on the field. 1/5000-scale base map will be prepared for Irrigation and Drainage networks. Land acquisition plans for lagoon axis, reservoir area, lagoon access road, if any, relocation road, and access roads to stockyard, raw material area and quarries will prepared.
