Closing Meeting of “Van Lake Basin Drought Management Plan” is held in Van 5 December 2018

Closing Meeting for “Preparation of Van Lake Basin Drought Management Plan” was held on 05 December 2018 in Van, under the chairmanship of Water Management General Director Bilal Dikmen, with the participation of Van Deputy Governor Faruk Bülent Baygüven, public institutions representatives, universities, SU-YAPI company representatives and press organizations.

In scope of the project, following services are performed by our company;

• Analysis of drought indices, indicators and threshold values,
• Determination of water potential in the basin and changes in water potential,
• Performing sectoral vulnerability analysis, that analyses the impact on drinking and utility water, agriculture (irrigation, livestock, etc.), industry, ecosystem and tourism sectors,
• Determining the measures to be taken to reduce the impacts of drought and water scarcity,
• Basin drought management plan and creation of basin drought database.
