Seyhan River Flood Risk Maps Preparation

Brief Description of the Project:

The scope of the project is to reveal the alternatives for the improvement of the flood protection of the Seyhan River and to produce the best among them by examining the flood situation of the part between the place where the Seyhan river empties into the Mediterranean Sea and the Seyhan dam according to the current conditions, examining and/or reconstructing the operational management of the existing and prospective storage facilities on the Seyhan river, separately and together, taking into account the clearing of the sediment in the active volume in the Seyhan dam lake, thus, in case of the flood conditions of the Seyhan River downstream of the Seyhan dam, new flood facilities are proposed, and the contributions of the existing flood-prone facilities are presented and options are offered to improve the Seyhan River flood protection alternatives and to produce the best among them. Thus, the rehabilitation projects of the flood facilities located in the Rehabilitation Project Area are carried out.
