Component 2: Design and Construction Supervision for the Rehabilitation and Modernization of On-Farm and Off-Farm Infrastructure (DCSRMOOI)

Brief Description of the Project :

International and national Technical Assistance services have been foreseen within the activities related to this Component 2. The task of these teams is to ensure that an effective design is prepared for the improvement of efficiency and sustainability of irrigation water distribution on 56 000 ha area by assisting in the selective rehabilitation and improvement of On-farm irrigation and drainage infrastructure of 45 WUAs.

In addition, Off-farm works associated with the On-farm works will be rehabilitated to ensure sufficient and timely water delivery to project WUAs.

The works within the scope of Component 2:

• Cleaning (de-silting) of irrigation and drainage canals,
• Repairing concrete lining and joints, if needed replacement of the pipes of the pressurized irrigation scheme,
• Rehabilitation of hydraulic structures,
• Rehabilitation of pumping Stations and their electro-mechanic equipment,
• Rehabilitation of tube wells,
• Design of nearly 1000 water measuring structures (hydro posts) is required on the off-farm systems, which are limited with the defined project area.

Scope of Services:

• Detail Design,
• Preparation of tender documents,
• Supervision of construction works.
