Manisa County Seat Belenyenice Lagoon & Irrigation: Semi-pervious fill-type lagoon, 27,96 m high from foundation, will supply irrigation water to gross 107 ha arable land.

Manisa Soma Çavdır Lagoon & Irrigation: Semi-pervious fill-type lagoon, 15,05 m high from foundation, will supply irrigation water to gross 28 ha arable land.

Planning report will be prepared individually for lagoons for which Preliminary Study Reports are available. Planning studies will be performed in two phases.

1. Preliminary Study Reports

Studies in this phase will comprise defining types and capacities of contractual structures and selecting the project formulation, and the result will be compiled in “Preliminary Study Report” which will be submitted to DSİ. Detailed planning services will be proceeded with upon approval by DSİ the proposed project formulation. Engineering Hydrology Reports, Agricultural Economy Interim Reports and Preliminary Study Land Classification Reports on lagoons will have been approved in Preliminary Study Report phase.

1/1000 scale digital maps for axis sites and reservoir area of the studied storage structures and 1/2000 scale digital maps for irrigation areas will be developed.

2. Planning Report

“Preliminary Study Reports”, including the proposed project formulations, will be reviewed by DSİ, and the Formulation to be selected by DSİ will be taken as basis to the subsequent planning studies. “Planning Land Classification and Drainage Report” and “Agricultural Economy and Land Acquisition Planning Report”, as appendices to Planning Reports, will be prepared. Investigations in natural construction material areas, laboratory tests and engineering geology studies, including foundation borehole drillings, will be carried out, and the “Engineering Geology and Natural Construction Materials Planning Report” will be prepared.
The EIA studies will be performed, “Project Introductory File” will be prepared, and “EIA Is Not Required” certificates will be obtained.

Lagoon Design Services

Final drawings for lagoons, of which Planning Reports are approved by the Client, will be prepared in accordance with “Technical Specification for Dam Design”. Lagoon Design will include the following processes.

a) Preliminary Report
Preliminary report will be prepared after the Client’s comment on any revision to the basic formulation proposed in Planning Report is received.

b) Interim Report
Interim Report will be prepared to include the preliminary calculations and project formulation.

c) Design
Following approval of the interim report by the Client, design studies comprising all hydraulic, stability, static-reinforced concrete and steel structural design calculations and drawings, as per the Technical Specification for Dam Design, will be commenced. Detail drawings will show types and locations of instruments to be installed in lagoon embankment on the basis of stability, stress, displacement, seepage and dynamic analyses.

Scope of Services:
  • Planning studies
  • Lagoon Final Design studies
